This photograph shows a cross section of a roughly circular dark stain (Post Mold 53) during the process of excavation; the south part of the stain already has been removed. The stain is a deep, slightly-tapered Seneca-era post that formed part of the vestibule/entryway wall for House 3. Kurt Jordan, Archaeologist
