- This photograph shows the footprint of the short longhouse at the Townley-Read site, facing southeast with an archaeologist for scale. The white-painted line represents the north, west, and south walls of the structure; the east wall could not be very well-defined through excavations. The black-painted metal cans represent the locations of large posts on the interior of the structure.
