My dear Aunt,
I have but a few moments to express my thanks for your kindness in purchasing my dress etc. I am very much pleased with it; hope I can in some way return the favor, shall endeavor to honor your taste by too being my very prettiest. It is very perplexing to think of a way to tell you when I am to be Mrs. Cuyler. Do excuse me; the ceremony is to take place the 21st and we shall leave the next day for N.Y. where I shall expect to meet you; from what Uncle wrote me in his last letter. Grandmother and Aunt Martin are well and wish to be remembered affectionately to yourself and Uncle. Throop will tell you particularly about the farm, etc. My love to Uncle.
Your affectionate Niece,
Eliza [Akin]
P.S. Mrs. Cuyler regrets extremely that it will not be in her power to accept Mrs. Throop's polite invitation to dine on the 14th. Do not let any see this; they will think I am in a hurry. - Work Type:
