- The Spark was an official bi-monthly publication of the I.W.O. Contents of the April 1932 issue, from the cover: Towards the Third Year of the Order. Articles by Max Bedacht, Dave (David) Greene, Rubin Saltzman, and Y. Finkelstein. Towards the "Morgn Freiheit (Frayhayt)" Company, May First, 1932. Morris Wintchevsky, by Kalman Marmor. What's Happening in Our Order, by R.Z. (Rubin Saltzman). Three Years of Building the Proletarian Schools by Dvoyre Tarant (title on p. 23 has "Proletarian" schools). The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
