Under the headline "Children's Creation", a poem "The Chase", by Esther Deglin, from the Philadelphia Mitlshul. Minutes of the National Executive Committee. Bundled with a 6-page English supplement titled, "The Spark, Youth Section". This latter is not a distinct publication with a distinct subscriber list, but is printed together (that is, the folio that contains the front Yiddish page is English on the reverse). This English supplement contains: A photo of the New York City Youth Committee. A report on the upcoming convention. An article on youth committee theater groups. A poem by N. I. Edstlog. An unattributed short story. Branch news and notes.
- Notes:
- The Spark (Der Funk) was named for Iskra (И́скра), Lenin's erstwhile newspaper
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
