- In Yiddish. 12 pages. Translated Summary: Program for a concert in celebration of the first anniversary of the "umpartayishe" [non-party-affiliated, or independent] workers schools in Chicago. There are two essays by students: "Children's Work: What we Do in Our Workers School", by 10-year-old Miriam Blechman, and "First of May Demonstration in Chicago", by 12-year-old Tsirl (Cyril) Zitsh. The rest is the concert program itself, description of the schools and the curriculum, congratulations, and ads. The concert was held on a Sunday afternoon, in the Ukrainian Folk Hall, 2457 Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL. Notes: Some of these schools became part of the JPFO's Ordn Shuln when the IWO/JPFO formally broke in 1930 from the Arbeter Ring (Workmen's Circle). The cover graphic features a hammer and sickle.

- "Umpartayishe" indicated not aligned with a party or faction
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
