Translated Summary: Title page lists 15 members of the directorate, plus three members of the Ladies Auxiliary. Prefatory comments by teacher L. Lazebnik [not known if related to Joel Lazebnik in Poland], and by the administration. Children's work has titles including: In a Factory. Strike. Yitskhok and Shimen. Spring. Vacation. Regret. The Worker. When Someone Does not Speak Yiddish. The Life of a Great Freedom Fighter. Khane (Hannah). Little Birds. Our School. Public School. Summer in Camp. I Love the Summer. A Snow Man. - The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans. Documents include language and representations which comprise the historical record and should not be interpreted to mean that Cornell University or its staff endorse or approve of negative representations or stereotypes presented.
