- Monthly magazine published by the school clubs of the Toronto Arbeter Ring (Workmen's Circle) Peretz Shuln (Schools). Beautiful illustrations by John Gee. Translated Summary: Winter, poem by Peretz Markish. Sarale with her Little Goat, by Chaver Paver (credited to "Kinderland"). The Dream. Poem by Heinrich Heine, translated by Nafthali Gross. Some articles do not have authors attributed: A Conflict over Wells in Palestine; Childhood Years (a series of true events in the childhoods of the great writers)- Sholem Aleichem. Titles of children's compositions include: A Desert is Transformed Into a Blooming Garden of Eden. My Cousin. A Winter Evening. Sick. My Grandfather. Skating. A Good Deed. A Monday Morning. From Heinrich Heine's Memoirs. A note explains that it is the seventieth anniversary of the death of one of the nineteenth century's greatest poets. "Heine was a Jew, but he wrote in German," it says, but does not credit the translator. Avrom Reisen's 50th birthday somehow escaped them but they promise to make it right in the next issue. Kalman Marmor's stamp is on the front cover. Address is that of printer
- Notes:
- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
