Political - Description:
- 4 pages. Translated Summary: OWI bulletin tells of an article in the Swedish newspaper, Social Democrats, with a detailed description of a young Polish Jew, one of the very few survivors of the ghetto in Lvov [L'viv]. Followed by an article "Jewish Soldiers Celebrate Channukah at Fort Benning", then by two more articles-- one on information about prisoners of war, and the other citing the Allied December 17 1942, Joint Declaration of the United Nations against Germany's "coldblooded policy of extermination."
- Notes:
- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
