- Last of six articles that ran as the New York Post's Feature of the Day. The article reports that there are some who support that the death penalty for the Rosenbergs be commuted to life long imprisionment. Quotes Norman Thomas to the effect that although he believes the trial to be fair, that the sentence itself engages the sympathy of those who are against capital punishment. The Rosenbergs were sentenced to death on April 5, 1951 and executed on June 19, 1953.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
