- Banner heading: "Rosenbergs must not die!" followed by "Religious and other leaders protest death sentence for young Jewish couple. Urge President grant clemency." Headlines of this broadside include "Jewish Aspects of Case Stir Wide Scale Protest;" and "Did the Cold War Doom the Rosenbergs?" Clemency appeal is to President Truman. The Rosenbergs are sentenced to death on April 5, 1951 and executed on June 19, 1953.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
