- Translated Summary. Letter from Adam Rayski, General Secretary of the Comité général de défense des Juifs de France (CDG) to a [unspecified] Jewish group from whom that they are hoping to raise funds. The letter is very similiar to one that Rayski sends later to the American Jewish Labor Committee. In this version Rayski explains that the Comité is preparing a brochure to honor their deceased Secretary General Léo Glaeser, killed by Nazis on June 19, 1944. Rayski requests financial support for this endeavor which should interest Jews from around the world. Mentions the names of other CDG fighters whose words will appear if funding ensues: Grinberg, Halperine, Kivelowitch, Adam, Rotchild, Schrager, Frydman, Gourevitch, and others.

- Not clear if Rubin Saltzman of the JPFO is being asked for funds or being copied on a letter being sent to various American Jewish organizations. Rayski is one of the founders in 1944 of CRIF (Conseil représentatif des institutions juives de France) and of the earlier Comité général de défense juive
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
