- Translated Summary: Received Saltzman's letter with great joy. Thanks him on behalf of our children for his brotherly gesture. Right after receiving your letter, sent a responsible colleague to the seaside, who reports to us that he found a magnificent spot for a camp [colony] in a place that was destroyed by the Germans. Reconstruction will cost a lot but it is not easy to find such places.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
