- In Yiddish. 2 pages. Translated Summary: From the Jewish Mitlshul in Johannesburg [30 Upper Meyer Street] to the Yiddish mitlshul students in the Ordn schools. Introduces herself and then describes the school as five years old and the only Yiddish school in Africa. It runs three afternoons a week, for two hours each. The older students' class (age 14 and up) has only six students. The younger three classes have about fourteen each. Describes how much more interesting classes are than in the English school. Requests a letter in return. Would like to hear about school in the U.S.

- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans. Documents include language and representations which comprise the historical record and should not be interpreted to mean that Cornell University or its staff endorse or approve of negative representations or stereotypes presented.
