Education - Description:
- In Yiddish. On Camp Kinderland [Yiddish] stationery. Dated July 22nd, but no year given. Translated Summary: Ordered 100 copies of the [Young] Fraternalist and 2 copies of the new Isaac Raboy book that the Ordn (JPFO) published. Got assurances from Sam Pevzner and from Janet, but meanwhile, there is no sign of them. Check marks next to the numbers requested indicate this was confirmed or acted on.
- Notes:
- Isaac Raboy published in 1942 "The Jewish Cowboy"
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
