- Signed letter from Stephen S. Wise to Albert E. Kahn stating that the previously postponed Second Session of the World Jewish Congress will now be held February 15, 1948 in Switzerland. The JPFO is entitled to appoint one representative to the conference and Wise strongly urges participation in the meeting which will include representatives from more than 50 Jewish communities world-wide. Emphasizes the importance of the decisions that will be made and of having full representation from American Jewish organizations.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
