Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee of the USSR (JAFC) - Description:
- Letter from B. Z. Goldberg to Members of the American Committee of Jewish Writers, Artists and Scientists regarding Executive Committee luncheon with guests Shloime Kaplonsky an academic dignatary from the "Haifa Polytechnion" and Zerubavel a "world leader" of Poale Zion. According to the letterhead, JPFO leaders Rubin Saltzman, Gedalia Sandler, Paul Novick, and Albert E. Kahn serve on the Executive Committee of the American Committee of Jewish Writers, Artists and Scientists.
- Notes:
- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
