Nora van Leewen Zhitlowsky (A Short Biographical Sketch), 1944
2 pages.The biography of Nora Zhitlowsky, which may or may not have been authored by her, states that she is Dutch and lived in the United States working for the People's Institute prior to marrying Chaim Zhitlowsky in 1915. Presumably it was sent along with the letter to JPFO branches announcing her availability as a speaker and/or for hosts to use in introducing her. The presumed date is that of her cross-continental North American speaking tour for the JPFO/IWO.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
