Veterans- Organizing - Description:
- Meeting with Anatole Wertheim, representative of the Association of Jewish Partisans in Poland as part of Youth Council meeting to show support for the Relief and Rehabilitation Fund. Asks that two representatives be present from each Youth Lodge. Also mentions that Dance Committee acounts need to be settled. [According to JTA, Wetheim came to New York on May 21, 1946 as part of a delegation that accompanied Dr. Emil Sommerstein "representing the several groups and organizations which compose the Polish Jewish community, including Marek Bitter, Joseph Zack, M. Mirsky, Dr. Shlome Herschenborn, Hirsch Vasser, Itzhak Gerson, Anatole Wertheim, and the Misses Chaya Grossman, Halina Gertner and Ida Sommerstein."

- Wertheim had previously been a Polish delegate to the World Jewish Congress session in London on August 22, 1945.
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
