- Present: Steinberg, Schechter, Goldman, Goldberg, Greene, Mintus, Gordon, Sandler, Schiller, Saltzman, Youkelson, Starr. Agenda: 1. Report of the Emma Lazarus Division, 2. Report from G. Sandler, 3. American Jewish Congress, 4. Daily News, 5. Youth Committee. June Gordon reports that since the 15th Jubilee (anniversary) that the Emma Lazarus Division now has 56 branches with 25 in New York and she provides membership, city and dues figures (and mentions the Women's District committees and Women's Division). It's an overview of an ongoing reorganization. Gedaliah Sandler mentions the American Jewish Congress and the Black Book, urging a membership purchase campaign and discussed other publications. George Starr urges on the petition campaign against Senator Bilbo's racial comments.

- The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans. Documents include language and representations which comprise the historical record and should not be interpreted to mean that Cornell University or its staff endorse or approve of negative representations or stereotypes presented.
