- Notes:
- The TIME Magazine Education Program published teachers' guides, classroom posters and other materials for use in the schools. This series of four maps may have been the source of later, heavily-criticized posters like "Palestinian Loss of Land 1946-1999," ID #1402 (2003), and "The Evolution of Palestine from 1946 to 2008. Who Are the Terrorists?", ID #2532 (2008).
These Time maps provide a more balanced assessment of the situation. They contain none of the inflammatory rhetoric of ID #1402 (e.g., "72% of the West Bank has been . . . confiscated from Palestinians"). And the earlier Time poster includes extensive explanatory notes absent in the later ones (e.g., the explanation that the 1947 UN Partition Plan was agreed to by Israel and failed only because the Arab states rejected it and initiated war against Israel).
The Collection includes a number of maps related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Search > "israel* AND palest*".
