- Notes:
- An extravagant promotional map for the Finger Lakes region of New York. Significant events and people in the region's history are highlighted in textual legends at the sides of the map and in pictorial representations. A long legend at the top of the map describes the history of native americans in the region and the founding of the Six Nations. Ithaca is identified as founded in 1789 and Cornell in 1865, with illustrations of the Cornell clock tower, a crew member with oar and a portrait of Ezra Cornell. Cornell is described as building the first commercial telegraph line (over which Samuel Morse sent the famous message, "What hath God wrought?"), starting Western Union - and founding the University.
