- This promotional map from the meat-packing firm of Armour & Company bears the slogan, "the greatness of the United States is founded on Agriculture." According to the text at the bottom left, "This map shows you where various foods are produced in quantities large enough to supply other regions as well as local needs." The text explains how the differing climate and rainfall conditions across the country relate to food production and concludes that "Our American food supply system excels [sic] that of any other people." The map itself is dense with symbols representing the sources across the country of 32 different food products. At the top of the Key to Symbols are the three most important to Armour: Beef Cattle, Hogs and Sheep. At the lower right is a list of Armour's 34 Packing Plants, each illustrated on the map.
On the verso (ID #2081.02) is an illustrated "History of the American Food Industry."
