- This map is the introduction to an inexpensive publication warning of the dangers of the Soviet Union. The red arrows aimed from the "Communist Alliance" toward "Allied Free Nations" and "Nonaligned Nations" spread across the world. The legend tells the story: "Scope of Communist ambitions becomes clear on a world map keyed to the pressures and thrusts directed against the free world from Moscow and Peking. . . . The pages that follow have been designed both as a history of Communism's open plot to rule the world and to provide a frame of reference within which a counterstrategy can be weighed." For a wall-map version, see ID #1370.
