Translated Summary: Regarding the zoning board's judgment concerning the proposed Health Resort property, informs of intent to appeal, and refusal to cooperate with ruling until a legal decision on that appeal is made. The letter says that the judgment is addressed to Mr. Dembus. The letter is "In the name of my client, "Ridgefield Health Resort". It was therefore presumably drafted by the Ordn's lawyer. Possible litigant is Dembus, Samuel, the Secretary for the group advocating for the Yiddish Home for the Aged [Jewish Peoples' Home in Ridgefield Connecticut,

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans. Documents include language and representations which comprise the historical record and should not be interpreted to mean that Cornell University or its staff endorse or approve of negative representations or stereotypes presented.
