Postwar Order and Social Contract - Description:
- In Yiddish. Letterhead. Translated Summary: Received Saltzman's letter of September 26. Sending CKŻP report they presented at their October 12 National Conference that includes accompanying resolutions. This will give an idea of their activities over the 9 months of 1947 and their perspective on their immediate future.
- Notes:
- Dr. Berman was forced out of the CKŻP in 1949.
The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
