Bilingualism - Description:
- In Yiddish. Translated Summary: Instructions related to publications, for when the memo's author (presumably Rubin Saltzman) will be out of town, in three categories. Summaries-- Pesach [presume Novick], promised the summary of The Fight for Civil Rights. Ber Grin, the summary of Jewish culture in the last 100 years. Must prepare the conspec (digest, summary) for the 12th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Last year's Pesach summary can be used as a basis, but it must be connected to the problem of re-Nazification in Germany. Brochures-- the galley proofs of [Rabbi Avrom] Bik's "Bondi" have been read and now Itshe (Itche) [Goldberg] has them. Design of the cover. The English brochure, Morris' [Schappes] "The First Days of the Jewish Worker's Movement" is good, and needed, but too academic. Herbert Aptheker's brochure-- about the distribution of our brochures-- we should not be satisfied. Something needs to be done soon in this area. The reference given to the 12th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising implies that this is a 1955 document that pertains to a publishing venture. Its presumed author is Rubin Saltzman.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
