- 46 pages. 30 years of Writing, by Nachman Meisel, 1940, A literary biography of David Bergelson. Published by the Ordn. 5,000 impressions (print run). Back cover has an ad for their 10 year Jubilee gathering. Bergelson returned to the Soviet Union in 1934 after protracted stays elsewhere in Europe; he was arrested in 1949 and killed in 1952 by Stalin for belonging to the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee.

The Jewish People’s Fraternal Order was the largest ‘national’ section of the International Workers Order (IWO) which focused on cultural awareness and celebration, mutual support especially in health insurance coverage, and anti-fascist activities. The IWO also gave particular emphasis to supporting the rights and interests of African Americans.
