- This is a cast of a the inscribed and relief-decorated grave monument of freedman Anteros Asiaticus. The original is broken along the top edge and missing all but the bottoms of letters of the first line of the inscription. Grape vines with the occasional figure in relief wind up the sides of the slab. A small crowded scene at the bottom of the stone shows the deceased in his duties as a sevir augustalis, one of six elected local officials charged with overseeing the cult of the emperor, among other duties.
This cast was made in three large pieces that are displayed together but cataloged separately. This ID no. represents the leftmost piece.
1757 marked in black along the top edge is the cast number of the Gipsformerei der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin.
