- Description:
- This is a cast of a decree of proxeny on a marble slab held in the British Museum. The inscription, IG V,1 1145, formally recognizes Damiadas, a Lacedaimonian, for his work as a physician in the city of Gytheion and grants him the title of proxenos there. The cast is well-preserved.
