- Assemblage consists of satirical medals and medallions issued to deride William Jennings Bryan's plan for silver-based coinage for the U.S. by approximating (or exaggerating) the bulk of a coins necessary to contain their face value in silver (Fischer 1988: 160-162). Most of these pieces are likely to exaggerate the size of such coins considerably. Eight of the items are dated 1896
