Lincoln, Abraham, 1809-1865 - Measurement:
- 20.32 x 30.48 (Mount) (centimeters)
- Description:
- Assemblage contains an assortment of medals, medallions, and pendants related to the election, inauguration, and assassination of Rutherford B. Hayes and a 20th century halftone reproduction of an 1880 Garfield-Arthur campaign print. Note the frequent use of Abraham Lincoln and canal tow path motifs. The very small copper alloy pendant appears to contain a portrait of Lucretia Rudolph Garfield. The large Inaugural medallion is likely to be a 20th century reproduction of the 1881 work of Charles Edward Barber. The In Memoriam ribbon has been cataloged separately as 2214.RB0097.
