- Assemblage contains a variety of Grant-Wilson items from the 1872 Presidential campaign (including a textile badge, copper alloy medals and pendants, a stamped leather badge, and a ferrotype portrait pin), an 1885 U.S. Grant memorial badge, and an unusual 1874 Charles Sumner memorial pendant with a bust of Sumner on the obverse and FOR VICE PRESIDENT / 1872 / H.WILSON on the reverse. Lot contains two medals issued as part of Isaac F. Wood's Memorial Series commemorating the 1873 inauguration of U.S. Grant, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and the Boston Numismatic Society.
