- Description:
- Assemblage consists of one ferrotype pendant, one lapel pin, fifteen copper alloy medals, and one portrait clipping. Several of the medals contain the maker's mark of Merriam of Boston
two of the Merriam medals commemorate a July 4, 1860 oration by Edward Everett given in Boston, Massachusetts. The large plated Bell portrait medal contains the maker's mark TRUE, probably in reference to Benjamin True of Cincinnati, Ohio. One medal contains a portrait of Abraham Lincoln on one face and an image of John Bell on the other. - Cite As:
