three Buchanan Presidential commemorative medals
one large medallion commemorating the first embassy of Japan to the United States in 1860 (likely to be a reproduction based on condition)
and a 20th century halftone reproduction of a Buchanan-Breckinridge campaign item. The Japan Embassy medallion and the plated inaugural medallion contain the maker's mark of sculptor-engraver Anthony C. Paquet. The two THE CRISIS DEMANDS HIS ELECTION Buchanan portrait medals bear the maker's mark F.B.S. & H. / N.Y.. Note the buck-cannon rebus. - Cite As:
