this selection of medals, medallions, and pendants primarily dates to the 1844 election. One Clay I would rather be right than President medal is dated 1848. Several items bear the unidentified maker's marks I B C or A C. M. Donor Susan H. Douglas originally displayed the 20th century magazine clipping Clay portrait 2214.PM0223 with this assemblage. - Cite As:
