- Print is undated and contains no information on maker. However, the image is identical to 2214.PO0015, which may mean that this print was lithographed by the National Process Company, based on a photograph by Peter Berkeley, and printed? by Forever Portrait of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. A staff member from the Colorado Photographic Arts Center, who has the same portrait in their collections, provided the following information regarding the original portrait: The image was taken at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, C.O. by Peter Berkeley for Lainson Studio on July 31, 1952. Eisenhower was on the campaign trail at the time. Only twelve 20x24in prints were made in total. The process is indicated as having been a black and white photograph that was gold and selenium toned and hand painted; Berkeley used an 8x10in view camera.
