Interior contains label of The Hopkins of Baltimore, Maryland, and the inscription 'Mr. American' / Official Eisenhower Delegate. Item donor Susan H. Douglas indicates that this type of hat was worn by members of the New Jersey delegation to the 1952 Republican National Convention held in Chicago, Illinois.
