Metal torch light parade helmet with shiny plated finish. Molded eagle symbol has been affixed to the front of helmet helmet band contains shield and anchor emblems. Helmet contains a wire bracket by which a small kerosene torch can be suspended above helmet's crown. Item donor Susan H. Douglas dates helmet to 1892, possibly on the basis of dated sales fliers advertising helmets of similar design.
