Hearst also ran for Mayor of New York City in 1905 and 1909 and Governor of New York (with Lewis S. Chanler sharing the ticket as Lieutenant Governor) in 1906. Minnesota Governor John A. Johnson was a candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 1908. The HEARST AND CHANLER button appears to have a maker's label reading COPYRIGHT 1906 BY PEARCE AD..
