Mechanical coin bank. The user places coin at the end of the elephant's trunk the coin will roll down trunk into bank if lever on the back of the elephant is pushed. Item donor Susan H. Douglas dates this item to the 1952 Presidential campaign. It is uncertain if the item is specifically politically-related, or if the elephant is merely intended to be a circus elephant.
