- Description:
- Silver-painted standing cast iron clock frame with circular opening allowing insertion of clock. Equestrian portrait of Theodore Roosevelt dressed in Spanish-American war rough rider uniform. Molded letters on reverse read PAT / APLD (i.e., patent applied for). Item donor Susan H. Douglas dates clock frame to the 1900 Presidential campaign, although it also could date to the 1904 campaign. Item 2214.BB0277 is identical save that it does not have an opening for a clock.
