- Description:
- Cast metal plate covered in copper-colored paint. Reverse bears the inscription AMES SWORD CO. / CHICOPEE, MASS.. Back of plaque contains a metal loop for hanging on a wall. Item donor Susan H. Douglas mis-identified this portrait as John Alexander Logan. Douglas collection also contains very similar but not identical Grover Cleveland (2214.BB0102) and Thomas A. Hendricks (2214.BB0103) plaques, which have the individual's name on the front and the company name on the back in lower-case letters.
