- Bottle bears the inscriptions E.G. Booz's / Old Cabin / Whiskey and (1840) on its roof and E.G. Booz's / Old Cabin / Whiskey and 120 Walnut St. / Philadelphia on the gable ends of the house. On the basis of manufacturing technique and biographical information about Edmund G. Booz, I. Hazelton Mirkil conclusively has refuted the idea that this type of bottle was produced in association with William Henry Harrison's 1840 Presidential campaign. Mirkil also has disproved the contention that Edmund Booz was responsible for the introduction of the word booze into English. References: Mirkil 1926.
